The Fire and Rescue services of Alcalá de Guadaíra (Spain) host the first meeting of the e-PPR project

Next 14th December, the first transnational meeting of the e-PPR project (e-Learning for the Prevention, Preparedness and Response to Natural Disasters) will be inaugurated in Alcalá de Guadaíra - Spain. The Fire and Rescue services of the County Council of Alcalá de Guadaíra will be joined by Fire and Rescue organisations and schools from five other countries.

The aim of the e-PPR project is to address the need for education and training on natural disasters. In order to achieve this, during the next two years, the six project partners will work on developing four e-learning modules on the prevention, preparedness and response to natural disasters.

The meeting in Alcalá de Guadaíra will be a key part of the project as the Fire and Rescue organisations will present their proposals for the educational content of the e-learning modules. The educational content proposals will then be validated by all the partners before moving on to the next step in the development of the e-learning modules.

This cross-sectoral and cross-border partnership is an initiative of Frederikssund-Halsnæs Fire & Rescue Service (Denmark) in collaboration with National College “Vasile Goldis” (Romania), Lohusuu School (Estonia), Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service (United Kingdom), Vilnius County Fire and Rescue Board (Lithuania) and the City Council of Alcalá de Guadaíra (Spain). The e-PPR project is co-funded by the European Commission within the framework of the Erasmus + Programme.
